The Earth quack 2005 & heavy rains in 2010 which triggered flash floods in several parts of the Pakistan resulted in loss of life, livelihood and displacement of million of people in Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa, Sind and Balochistan. The displaced people flung to other parts of the country in search of shelter just for survival. The most effected parts of Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa were Balakot, Mardan, Nowshera, Charasada, Swabi, low lying area of Peshawar, plain areas of District Karak.
In the event of changing weather conditions, where most of the people enjoy these changes being resourceful, Our feelings awakens and our heart reach to these displaced people of Province who are still living under open sky on the mercy of changing weather condition looking for help to resettle permanently. The Government Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa has done very little for their rehabilitation due to which large number of people are living below poverty level having very less resources to fulfill their minimum basic needs. To avoid these effected people to cross the boarder after getting disappointed and adopt a refuges in other countries, IORD aims to have a participatory approach in making shelters for them strong enough to protect them from the changing weather conditions for which the national and international donors are being contacted with the hope to get funds and do some thing for these homeless people.
